I will produce thumbnail sketches or lay out sketches on request, or to gain design approval. Not all tattoos can be approached like this particularly coverup tattoos, rework tattoos, or reinvention tattoos.
I will not take another artist's work and replicate, duplicate, or copy it. I will only take it as inspiration.
I make recommendations based on my experience, education, and the comprehensive understanding of skin, anatomy and how tattoos age. I will make recommendations on what is best for your tattoo on a case by case basis.
I draw tattoos in accordance with my specific artistic style. Please review my portfolio closely to make sure I produce the quality of work you are looking for. Some tattoos are created on the spot by drawing on with a marker and are never duplicated.
Copyright: I respect the copyright of other artists and will not replicate, duplicate, or copy their work without their permission. I will only take their work as inspiration and create a new design that is my own original work.
Recommendations: I have extensive experience in tattooing and I understand the factors that affect how tattoos age. I will make recommendations on the size, placement, and style of your tattoo based on your individual needs and goals.

Visitors and spouses are asked to refrain from speaking their own personal tastes to influence the choice of the person getting tattooed. This causes confusion and makes it difficult to create a tattoo. Please understand this is not your tattoo.
Spouse policy: Spouses or other guests are welcome to wait in the provided sitting area for the duration of the tattoo and mingle and chat. But they are not allowed to enter the immediate tattooing area unless the client specifically requests it. Never reach or touch a tattoo area, ever. You may be asked to leave if you do not comply.

Numbing product policy:
I do not permit the use of numbing product aside from Bactine during the tattoo session while the tattoo is being done.
Numbing products are dangerous and unregulated substances for the use during a tattoo. Then why do you see so many for sale? Because FDA has not enforced the restriction of these products, yet.
I lecture frequently at educational conferences with regulators, federal officials or doctors in the audience around the dangers of these products. Please understand I want you comfortable, but these products are dangerous and are more risky than the discomfort of a tattoo.
The only products I will use are registered with FDA for safe for long term skin contact, or for open wounds as required by the drug and medical device act under FDA's authority.
Please note the following:
Children are not welcome in the studio, ever. Please find a baby sitter. The tattoo studio environment is not safe for children to accompany you to a tattoo appointment.
